ABOUT
THE ACTION CARDS

You can learn a lot from dogs. They teach us that there are times when you need to do - not think about doing, not plan to do, just do. The Action Cards are exactly that - actions to perform as part of a Dognostication Card reading. The purpose of the actions is to jog the perspective and change your point of view, so that you see things in a new way, or remove blocks to an expanding awareness.

CHAKRAS

Chakra translates as "wheel" or "vortex." The seven chakras describe metaphysical and biophysical energy centers in the body. The chakra model of the body is very old, developed at least as long ago as the second century B.C., and was embraced by the early Hindu Vedas. Controversy surrounds the history prior to the Vedas. Some say the chakras were part of Norse traditions, carried east during the Aryan invasion of India in the second century B.C. This theory points to the wheels of the chariots ridden by the Aryans.

The meaning of the chakras evolved separately according to differing religious, yogic and occult traditions throughout India, China and the west. Therefore, the basic orientation of each chakra is similar in most traditions, but details may vary.

Each pair of Action Cards shares a chakra. A lotus, each with a varying number of petals, symbolizes each chakra. The action for each Action Cards is designed to help balance a particular chakra. Feel free to design your own actions or let yourself be spontaneous during the reading in determining actions to be taken.

Further information on each chakra can be found under each Action Card here. All of this information and more will be included in The Book of Dognostication , to be published in 2007.

This chart shows the Action Card, the associated chakra and the primary sense of that chakra:
