Consumption rituals (and enjoying food as any hedonist would) were a tradition in Char's life.

Although there were only the three of them, Char's mother cooked for an army -- and used as much butter and sugar as possible.

Char didn't cook a lot, but when she did, it was yummy -- especially if barbequed.
