Marvin Rand, Spiritual Constituant

 

Marvin was a tall giant in our experience with a point of view
always high and wide beyond
our normal vision. It was
wonderful to share space
with him.

 Marvin wasn't especially spiritual but he possessed a spirit like the phoenix, regularly reborn in fire. He may not have been particularly religious, but he proudly identified himself as a Jew, celebrating the rituals of Judaism. He attended services, torah study and joined a men's group at Leo Baeck Temple. Seven rabbis from five congregations privately and publicly honored his passing. Marvin successfully aspired to become a makher.
