NOTE FROM MEMORIAL DESIGNER, Z. Sharon Glantz, and stepdaughter of Marvin Rand:

First and foremost, this memorial does NOT reflect the aesthetics of Marvin Rand, although he did learn to appreciate the quirkiness of my design strategies.

This memorial to Marvin Rand originally included some of his photos (posted on other websites) that celebrated his vision. I received a Cease and Desist letter from Barak Lurie of Lurie & Park LLP in Los Angeles, California on behalf of Vicki Rand and his Estate. They threatened to sue me for $100,000 or more for use of the images. Having had my work taken, I respect copyright and have obliged the estate. I caution whose who have posted his work without a licensing agreement, you may be next. Then again, I doubt the copyrights are registered.

The virtual memorial continues to celebrate my stepfather's life, including the wonderful words of those who loved and appreciated him. I'm sorry, Marvin, but it looks like your Estate has taken ownship of you, memories of you and your legacy.
